ACCENT REDUCTION WORKSHOP

These small group workshops will help you improve your pronunciation by focusing on problems common to your native language group. Pacific Gateway has classes for the major language groups represented at Pacific Gateway, including: Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, German and Mandarin.

GRAMMAR WORKSHOP

Teachers at the Grammar Workshop will help you with your questions, your grammar and sentence structures you have learned in your regular programs.

AUSTRALIAN CONVERSATION CLUB (ACC)

Brisbane also has a Lunch Club

You are invited to join small conversation groups with Australians from a local university and the community. The Conversation Club is a great way to gain confidence and improve your english conversation skills.

READING CLUB

You are encouraged to join the Reading Club, so you can improve your grammar, vocabulary and TOEIC score whilst increasing your enjoyment of english literature. The club encourages group discussion and review of reading strategies.

MOVIE CLUB

Brisbane Showtime

You can watch great films and engage in discussions with other Pacific Gateway students.

COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY CENTRE

Pacific Gateway provides students with free access to computers at our Computer Technology Centre. The computers have the latest software installed and are connected to a high-speed internet service, so students can check their emails or surf the Internet.

TALKING COMPETITION

Pacific Gateway's Talking Competition is well known for helping you get out and meet local Australians. Some of the winners have spoken to to hundreds of native speakers and built confidence in making friends and using english in real-life situations.

JOB START KIT

In this workshop you will write a resume and learn how to find work in Australia, taking into account your level of english, the city your are living in and the season. You will learn how to present yourself and what to say and do in an Australian job interview style.
